GP Training at Romsey and Lancefield Medical Centres

Both Medical Centres are fully RACGP accredited training medical centres for General Practitioners and Medical Students. Accommodated in purpose built medical centres with fully serviced consulting rooms, treatment rooms, nursing stations, procedure rooms, double-bay emergency rooms, plus pathology collection facilities. Rooms for Specialists and Allied Health Professionals are also provided. We are fully computerixed using Best Practice (BP) software and Hot Docs Online for all aspects of patient health records, including summaries, progress notes, clinical records, online patient booking and recalls.

We have a full nursing staff to assist with procedures, wound management, plastering immunisations, care planning, health assessments and doctor assistance.

A range of sessional specialists and allied health professionals are available at the clinics to provide professional ancillary services.

We offer a well established training program which includes 4 trained supervisors - Dr Noel Cunningham, Dr Suki Allen, Dr Daniel Mohareb and Dr Nade Angelkovska-Tasevski. Training includes dedicated teaching time, weekly group training sessions, weekly doctors meetings, sit-in on consultations, supervised procedural training and the opportunity to participate in care planning and health assessments.

There is an opportunity to visit a Supported Residential Care facility in Romsey as part of the training post.  This enables further training in Aged Care and complex conditions management.

Located in the beautiful tourist area of the Macedon Ranges, 45 minutes from central Melbourne, we offer a flexible workplace in terms of hours worked and commuting requirements. 

Romsey and Lancefield are easily commutable from North/ West Melbourne. We encourage doctors to maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle and provide remote computer access if required.

Conditions of employment are according to the National Terms and Conditions and RACGP / GPSA Guidelines. There is no hospital or on call work at the Romsey and Lancefield Medical Centres.
